Is it legal to drive a gas powered remote control car on the public street?
You can. You should only drive on streets with little to no traffic. If you cause an accident, you may be held liable. If some one runs over your car, your out of luck. You still need to obey local noise laws. I used to run my nitro buggy up and down the street all the time. If a neighbor got upset, I would ask when would be a good time to run my car so that it would not bother them. Most the time, my neighbors didn't mind.

No!! Why would you risk injury to another person should you cause an accident? Drivers are not looking for your car to be on the road
