Remote-control cars and speed control?
I am joining a Remote-control racing car competition and lookign for an electric-powered rc car. I am just wondering what is a speed control function? and how is this useful?
I used to race competitively, a speed controller function (or here anyway) is a small device in the car which pretty much allows for throttle control. Rather than flat out or stop, you can go slowly or fast. Make sure you have powerful batteries, when I was racing 2000's might just about last a race, but try get 3000+'s to be sure. Without a speed controller your car would be all over the place, constantly going 'nuclear' (flat out) with little if any control, fun as that sounds, car + wall= :(.
Good luck and happy racing,
