Why does my nitro r/c car keep shutting off?

ok my Sho keeps shutting off after 10 minutes of running it and it took us 50 seconds to bring it back over to check what happened and we saw that it once we got it back over to where we work on it it was at 260 degrees F so what do you think is wrong? its a .21 engine and its the stock engine for the old version of the RD Logics SHO. TY
I think that my fuel mixture is too lean. i know it might be that thats causing it to happen but my dad is convinced that its just the engine thats all worn out and he doesnt want me to touch any of the needles because it is running perfectly until it shuts off.

IF it was not out of fuel, it probably overheated due to being run to lean.
Try a richer mixture by about 1-2 clicks.

This is usually more of a problem on aircraft engines because they will "rev-up" more when flying than when sitting still.

probbably too lean..that would cause the engine to get 260 degrees..that is way too hot
