what r/c car should i get?

i am looking into getting a nitro r/c car im 14 years old and i want one under 300 dollars i wnt a traxxas truck or a fast rice burner looking car any ideas? and i went to the hobby shop like a month ago and they say theres ones that you gotta biuld and fix alot i want one thats already built and i dont have to change parts alot and is pretty much once i buy it i dont have to put any money into it other for gas

You can get a RTR (Ready To Run) from Tower Hobbies or Stormer Hobbies or any other hobby store online if your willing to pay the shipping costs. That asside I would strongly recommend you get sdomething from a known manufacturer, like Associated, Losi, Kyosho, Traxxas, etc. Go to http://www.rc411.com, register and talk to them, this is the website for Xtreme RC Magazine. Other than that you can get a "Rice rocket" from HPI for about $200. I will include the RTR page from Tower for you to peruse and look form there.
