Nitro R/C car question! plz help?

i have an hpi on road car, my parents bought it for me when i was younger, around 10 yrs old bcuz i wouldnt stop begging for it. But now i am older (15) and i am lookin to get back into this hobby i remember having lots of fun, but to much work to maintain so i stopped. now i am willing to take care of it and learn about it so i wanted to know one thing. How can i make my car an OFF road car, if theres any ways please let me know bcuz as a child i only looked at the picture of a nice sports car then bought it, but now that i think about it i would like an off road car a lot more, will adding bigger tires work? or would i have to change a part in the car, if so please list what is needed and the average prices. thanks a lot :)
The bad news is On-road typically will not convert to off-road. Those cars just are not designed for the heavier suspensions and larger tires, and if you were to convert it would probably break easily.

The good news is that you can purchase a kit that will use the same radio, engine or batteries etc. Then you can see if you can get a few bucks for the on-road chassis. That should decrease you over all cost for the new vehicle significantly.

The main thing to keep in mind when off roading with anything is big tires and big suspension. Talk to a hobby shop that sells nitro cars, they should be able to tell you what you need to know.
