Help with R/C nitro car Please!?
Hi, i am pretty much new to the r/c world! I bought a car today which when i got it home doesnt seem to be working. I am going to try a different glow starter tomorrow as my one doesnt even glow on the end or even get slightly warm after being on charge for so many hours! Is there any thing else that could be up?
ALSO when i switch the car electronics on and the remote the steering part works fine but when i go to use my throttle the servo (i think thats what its called sorry if not!) on the car doesnt respond?…Is is supposed to when the engine is not running and what could this be?
Any help is much appreicated…Thanks
Danny
Hi! Thanks for the quick answer! so why wouldnt the throttle be working when the steering does? thanks
Hi, Yes the steering servo works but not the throttle one :s
I guess im not doing it right with the glow starter because i kept it on the car for a long time and when i took it off the end of the glow starter was still cold so i just guessed it wasnt working. ill take the glow plug out this morning and give it a go. As for the servo i dont have a clue whats up with that!
Thanks
if the glow plug dosent glow orange when connected to the starter then it needs replacing and yes the throttle servo should still work without the engine running.
i dont know why it wouldnt be working unless it was broken take it back to where you bought it

I don't mean to sound flip, but when you say the glow starter doesn't glow or even get warm. Do you have a glow plug attached to the end of the glow starter? The glow starter itself, isn't supposed to get warm. The other thing is about the servos. Does you steering servo work. If not, do you have batteries in the receiver? is the receiver switch turned on. Just a couple of thoughts. Sometimes the simplest things are overlooked.
