Smartech Custom Rc
This is an Ebay Special That I modified. It has all the upgrades you can buy plus a few custom that I created. The chasis is stock but I added ball bearings and cv joints. You will see it rolls very well. I upgraded to a two speed transmission and dropped in a modified Epic .18 engine (2.0 hp @ 40,000 rpm with a 45,000 rpm max). I used a stock 2 speed clutch bell and the stock clutch shoes. (Epic recommends a High performance 3 shoe clutch) I changed the controller to a futaba and put on some HPI wheels. I ported a header That I purchased from rc nitropower, it took some time but was well worth it. I purchased the flywheel and tuned pipe from himoto racing. I have been a mechanic for over 20 years. Its called a …
Its called a E-start (roto start). This E-starter is made by Smartech. It includes The Electric starter, Shaft and back plate. You will need a battery. The back plate does not fit every engine! The fact is that there are 2 different sized backplates (outside diameter of mounting bolt holes) for smallblocks and several different sized 1-way bearings (inside diameter of hex driver). There is a good picture of it in my Pic vid at 1:12 on the table or in the box at 2:03. I will make a video 4 you.

Cool, thanks for the post. How about a video of the TT? My new video was in editing when the pc hd dumped! I am waiting on external hd enclosure I ordered. It is hot-swappable and as I cant get the pc to boot with it hooked up internal this is my last option. I need my stuff! The full stage 1 has been clocked at 86mph. The car in this video is a low stage 1, = 65mph but a true 65mph. ie: the customer was on a budget and did not get: Trans upgrades, 3 shoe flywheel, clutch bell and gears.
Tranny upgrades: 2nd spur gear assy, steel rotor, carbon shoes, rotor/drive hub and front drive shaft. Add flywheel, shoes, clutch bell and gears; well parts are not cheap! But it = 86 mph and drops c.b. 1st Gear from 18t to 17t, with stock 1st gear tranny spur it = better holeshot!

Cool, Thanks, and I like traxxas too but the nitro 4tec is bad on belts if you mod it! Still an awsome car and company; oh the new 4tec 3.3 is $354 at tower. Put another 200 to 250 in it and you will crack 85mph but you still have a belt drive. Please don't get me wrong as it is a great car but I like shaft drive! Products and tech support are TOP NOTCH! I have friends there and we even exchange pics from time to time. FastRcCars

The radio I use is the futaba Magnum Sport FUTJ14 45.00 at the local hobby town, but they have the Futaba Magnum 75MHz 2PL FM Computer Radio system (FUTK09) on sale for 49.99 wow! The Wheels are HPI 3820 but you need a extra wide rim-driver. Mine are custom made but the hpi 2mm hex shaped spacers will work (between stock smt driver and wheel). There are several LED kits available. I have not done any thus far but a kit is the way to go. They take all the guess work out of the job plus all hardware ie: transformer etc. is included. do you have any advice as far as what i could do cool to a duratrax maximum st? it has a custom frame i built from aluminum but i dont know what else to do to it, i was thinking about making some removable fenders out of tin or a set of skis. anyhting else i could do, i have a garage with unlimited tools but am only 18 and just got into nitro rcs a few months ago.
