ELECTRIC RC CAR WILL NOT START. MAKES A CLICK NOISE WHEN I PRESS THE REMOTE DOWN. F&TF ORANGE SUPRA?

A buddy of mine found this car still in its box unopened. We pulled it out, charged the battery overnight, new batteries in the remote. When I go ahead and press the remote it does not move at all, it makes a fast clicking noise in the car. I was brushing up on Electric RC cars and I caught something having to do with something not catching a gear or maybe something could be loose. Sort of hard to believe considering since it was bought its been stored away for about 5 years. This is an Orange Toyota Supra from the first film Fast and The Furious. model # RC-16ff. I Don't have the box on me to tell you the name of the toy company. If anyone has information about what could be wrong/ how to fix please let me know. Thank You!
